Vanessa Victoria Vittorio was born in Murray, Utah on January 11, 1992, to Tammy (Johnson), an interior designer/accountant and Giuseppe DiVittorio, a tile setter. She is of Italian, Spanish, and German ancestry. Her parent's got divorced when she was just 2 months old. She has one half-sister from her mother's side, plus two half-brothers and one half-sister from her father's side. At the age of 9, she moved to California with her mother and stepfather. Before Vanessa actively pursued acting for film/TV, her true passion, everyone was telling her what to do. She went to a community college studying for majors ranging from Biomedical Engineering to Baking and Pastry Arts. In the fall of 2012 she got the courage to take an acting class at the college. The professor's assistant watched her perform a monologue and told her this is what you need to do in life. From then on, no one could stop her. She realized the fate of her life was up to her and no one else.
