Russell is an writer, producer and director born in Sydney, Australia to English parents. Russell entered film by chance after applying for an extra role on the award winning short The Telegram Man. While on set he met and discussed the working in film with the legendary Jack Thompson who told him to convert his current skill set as a Technical Writer to Screenwriter. Russell has completed a number of diverse genre scripts for shorts and features as well as turning his hand to many other roles both on and off film sets. As an avid crowdfunding advocate, Russell has been a global donor to more than 100 plus projects, seeking out the best projects and actively promoting these to a strong network of #SupportIndieFilm followers. Russell has recently directed a proof of concept piece to be realised as either a feature or 9 episode series and has gained potential audience interest from more than 55,000 and climbing.
