Matthew Ramos was born in Bellflower, California to Luanne Aulenback, a registered nurse from Boston, and Benjamin Ramos, a nurse with Mexican roots. They divorced before Matthew was a year old, and his mother received primary custody. Matthew booked his first national print ad with Disney at a year old. Upon finding out, Matthew's father told his mother to "never make money off our child." His parents struggled to raise a child with creative strengths so Matthew spent hours in solitude creating, writing stories, singing and dancing in his room. He attended Catholic school through high school, attending Barnhart Elementary School and later Don Bosco Technical Institute, a private all boys high school run by Jesuit priests. There, he studied architecture. In college he studied abroad in Barcelona and gained an appreciation for culture and humanity. Matthew graduated with honors from the Mihaylo School of Business and Economics at California State University, Fullerton and moved to New York City right after with the intention to reinvent himself as an artist. His time was spent getting hired and fired from restaurants around Manhattan, reading, writing and soaking up the NYC drag scene with his muses, including Kitten Withawhip (now Bob the Drag Queen). After being dumped by a lover in New York, Matthew moved to Nicaragua on a whim. He settled in San Juan Del Sur, bought an oven, and baked desserts as a means to support himself. He penned a short-lived blog called "The Crunchy Files," documenting his experiences abroad. At its height it had over 2,000 monthly readers. While in his final month in Nicaragua, a man whom Matthew was romantically involved with, had a premonition about seeing him in a movie. Matthew returned to Los Angeles in 2013 fully focused on becoming an artist. He enrolled in writing classes at UCLA and studied acting with the likes of Anthony Meindl, Jeremiah Comey, Carole D'Andrea, the Groundlings. He has performed in over a dozen new plays all over Los Angeles and also enjoyed roles in independent films, web-series and commercials. His most recently written plays, "Genderprocity" and "Baby Mama" aimed to change the stereotype around transgendered individuals and HIV stigmas. Matthew is also a successful producer of theater and film. Matthew's goal is to broaden his artistry into different aspects of entertainment while providing opportunities for artists of all ethnicities, ages and gender expressions to shine. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Matthew Ramos
