Virgil Apostol (1964-) was born as Virgil James Mayor Apostol in Los Angeles, California. He was born in the Year of the Dragon, and as the youngest child of Vidal delos Santos Apostol who migrated to Hawai'i as a Sakada farm laborer, and Anselma Miguel Mayor, a school teacher. Apostol discovered his knack for acting while in the seventh grade drama club. Ironically, he did not not even realize that a role he played was the lead character. Jumping forward as a young adult, he took part in another play taking the lead role. His first film role took place in late 2015 while accompanying his girlfriend to a film shoot. Upon meeting Apostol, the director demanded that he write him into the script.
