Esmeralda Columna was born in New York City and raised in Santo Domingo city of the Dominican Republic. Received an education as a ballet dancer in Ballet Concierto Dominicano under the artistic direction of Carlos Veitia. From an early age she showed interest in the performing arts as well as dance education. Columna has a wide classical repertoire in ballet and theater and has danced and performed in multiples professional productions in the United States and the Dominican Republic. In 2012 earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education. In 2016 is accepted into the two-year performing arts conservatory program of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, the oldest acting school in the English-speaking world. She graduated in 2018.
